Valley of the Moon Veterinary Hospital was established in 2012 by three experienced professionals with one shared vision: to provide quality, compassionate care to Sonoma's dog and cat companion animals, all the while working alongside you, their guardians, to create wellness and treatment plans which respect your special bond as well as your budget. We want caring for your pets to be a truly collaborative effort.

We recognize that no one understands your pet better than you. That's why each staff member and each doctor is committed to providing you with all the information and options you need to make informed medical decisions.

We know our clients' pets play different roles in their lives...some are working dogs or "barn" cats, some are therapy animals, some provide protection, and if you're like us, some are truly members of the family - one of the "kids." And we strive to treat each pet as if he or she were our very own!

And while we pride ourselves on our ability to provide exemplary preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry and routine surgery, we also recognize when the care your pet needs requires the expertise of a specialist. It is the welfare of your pet which has compelled us to develop relationships with veterinary specialists from Santa Rosa to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and ultimately, through our online veterinary community, to specialists from across the country and around the globe. So even if circumstances prevent you from transferring your pet to a specialist for diagnostics or treatment, you can rest assured that we will always be there to consult on your pet's behalf in order to provide you with more information.
